IFES – Stakeholder Survey on Election Issues 2016
The survey was conducted with 300 stakeholders (institutions, media, international community, political parties and NGOs/CSOs) through face-to-face interviews. The topics covered by the questionnaire were mainly about the legal framework and implementation of elections in Kosovo and the relevant institutions such as CEC and ECAP. The data was intended to be used to support electoral institutions with information on stakeholder perceptions of election management and the electoral legal framework in Kosovo.
UBO Consulting has been contracted by UNDP for a two year period to support local and central institutions regarding the development of their integrity plans. In this process, UBO Consulting team together with the experts from Slovenia are identifying the risks of integrity in the institution as well as what measures should be taken. The data derived from the workshops as well as analysis of questionnaires and matrices of risk are used to create the final product, the Integrity Plan of a given institution.
Public Pulse of Corruption
Comissioned by UNDP, UBO Consulting has conducted the study " PUBLIC PULSE OF CORRUPTION". The research was conducted in all municipalities of Kosovo, whereas at the central level it was focused on all ministries of the Government of Kosovo, in independent agencies, and public enterprises. For the purpose of this research civil servants were interviewed in order to get a complete overview on the level of corruption in different sectors and institutions in Kosovo.
Implementation of Bonus-Malus System
Commissioned by the Insurance Association of Kosovo, UBO Consulting agency has conducted research on the "Implementation of the Bonus-Malus system." The research aimed to identify the level of implementation of this system, the knowledge and the satisfaction of the key stakeholders with the features of this system. The survey was conducted with a sample of 577 respondents, of which 200 agents and directors of insurance companies in Kosovo and 377 users of automobile liability insurance policies.
The influence of complex procedures on corruption stimulation in Kosovo Customs 2016
In July 2016, UBO Consulting was contracted by UNDP office in Kosovo to carry out a study on “The influence of complex procedures on corruption stimulation in Kosovo Customs”. The study aimed to identify the prevalence of corruption and to find out the possible effects of complex procedures that are considered to be the cause of corruption in Kosovo Customs. For the purpose of this study, 200 respondents dealing in import, export, and brokerage were interviewed.
Follow-Up Assessment on Impact Act from Irregular Electricity Supply on Kosovar Businesses 2015[USAID]
This study aimed at providing information regarding the overall impact of irregular electricity supply on Kosovo’s private sector. Data presented in this report gave relevant stakeholders a picture on how irregular power supply and voltage fluctuations affect Kosovo’s firms, and how firms modify their operations to meet these difficulties. This information is necessary to assist the government and international donor organizations to respond with measures that can improve the supply of electricity, which in turn would boost the profitability Click here to download the report
Plastic Sector Study 2015[UNDP]
The objective of this project was to collect data and information in the relevant sectors that will serve as evidence during the drafting of the sector profiles for the Plastic and Rubber Industry and Chemicals Industry. Sampling frame for this project contained 531 entities that are in the business of manufacturing of plastic and rubber products and are active taxpayers according to the TAK 2015 database
Mapping of ICT Sector Labor Supply and Demand 2015[STIKK]
The objective of this research project was to map the supply and demand in the labor market and to identify the issues regarding the talent generation in the ICT sector. It focused in the identification of the gap between demanded skills in ICT industry and the ICT skills supplied by the educational and training institutions of Kosovo which would serve as a reference during the curricula build for the new STIKK Education Program. For the purpose of this research a mixed method approach was used, by utilizing primary and secondary research of both qualitative and quantitative nature

Baseline Socioeconomic Study 2015[AUSTRIAN DEVELOPMENT AGENCY]
This Baseline Survey has been conducted by UBO Consulting for the “Suhareka/ Suva Reka Smallholder Initiative - Local Development Fund” (SUSI-LDF), financed by the Austrian Development Agency with the main purpose of generating both qualitative and quantitative information of the target beneficiaries that could be used as baseline data and a tool for monitoring and evaluation of program activities. The LDF has financed activities in the municipality of Suharekë/Suva Reka and in the Southern region of Kosovo to enhance and improve the agricultural production, processing and marketing of agricultural products and the promotion of the agricultural value chain in the region
Knowledge and Practices of Municipal Officials for Kosovo Security System 2015 [INSURANCE ASSOCIATION OF KOSOVA]:
This study aimed to created a basic idea about perceptions of municipal officials regarding insurances in general. Specifically, Insurance Association of Kosovo wanted to evaluate municipal practices in the field of insurance and the commitment of authorities in promoting the insurance system to the businesses and other municipal institutions. The process of data collection included opinions of 94 municipal directors/officials in 34 municipalities in Kosovo. For the purpose of this study, UBO Consulting has interviewed the following directorates: Department of Public Services, Department of Health and Department of Agriculture
For the purpose of this project, UBO Consulting interviewed 900 individual and businesses customers. The main objectives of this project were:
- Identifying customers’ level of satisfaction with bank products & services
- Identifying customers’ perceptions about banks’ strengths and weaknesses
- Identifying main competitors and their advantages/disadvantages
- Providing of recommendations about improving banks’ products & services
Municipal Competitiveness Index (MCI) 2014[USAID]
The Municipal Competitiveness Index (MCI) in Kosovo evaluates the business regulatory environment and ranks municipal economic governance. The primary goal of the MCI is to improve the productivity and performance of private businesses by identifying and reducing extraneous regulatory burdens, corruption, and opacity of the legal environment. Business Environment Survey 2014[ECIKS - KOSME Programme]
A total of 750 business representatives (owner or manager of the business) were interviewed across 7 regions of Kosovo (Prishtina, Gjilan, Prizren, Gjakova, Mitrovica, Peja and Ferizaj). The survey was conducted via face-to-face interviews aiming to find out on the business environment, identify issues and problems that businesses face as well as learn about the benefits from municipal initiatives, central institutions or other donors
